So many of you righties act like white Christian heterosexual men have never had a voice in this country. You all act like this is some great civil rights achievement for WHCM. Sorry to let you in on a little secret, but your hero Obama started the clocks running backwards after his victory in his second term. People such as yourself are accelerating that backwards movement.
Your paint brush is very broad - but I am not surprised, since you espouse that kind of thinking. I wonder, where exactly did Democrats win seats? Both houses, numerous states etc have left the party of bigots. Now, of course, since your paint brush is so wide, you'd cast everyone in the same boat as a few raucous loudmouths. That is the usual from people such as yourself. Pity, but there is no bridge building unless it follows the course types like you like - and only that course is acceptable.
Continue digging the trench that Obama started. You'll get nowhere. The people that want America to succeed is far greater than the few like you who want to see America implode.

What are you talking about? I have heard this from a couple of other posters here as well as other righties on social media. Very broad, very general words saying how awful and horrible things were under Obama with zero evidence to back that up. So, back it up. Current appointees have already said they are going to take away rights from women and LGBTQ people. How is that "making America great again" by denying equality to Americans? Jeff Sessions, Betsy DeVos, Mike Pence, Ben Carson.... google the nominated cabinet and see how much they hate equality for all Americans.
God knows how many times I have had to say this but when I use the word "rightie" and "right winger" I am referring to those who say "oh, get over it because we did" and "give him a chance" and "Democrats are evil" and not your typical Republicans. There is a huge difference.
The view of many righties and right-wingers, is that limiting the freedoms of groups they don't like IS making America great again. They believe that the only ones who really, truly, deserve full freedoms in this nation, are WASPS, to be blunt. Despite the cliams to the contrary, most conservatives did indeed hate Obama not for his policies, but because they had to have a black man as president, and that galled them to no end.
To many on the right, going to war, and threatening others DOES make us Great, and they believe that unless other nations agree with us, they should suffer consequences even to the point of war. Trump's alluding to Iraq, and his demand that an already bloated defense budget confirms this belief. The fact that Trump, more than once, has said, we should just take Iraq's oil for ourselves also lends creedence to that observation.
These people want an America they believed existed in the 1950's: an America dominited by only white males, where the rights of women and minorities were dismissed, and where the U.S. consumed the majority of the worlds resources, even though it only had a fraction of the worlds population.
With the demographic changes that are still advancing, this election, and this presidency, is, quite literally, the last stand of a white America that does not want to share the American Dream with anyone else. They are dying off, and they know they're dying off. And, like an animal that is cornered and dying, they will fight to their last breath and take others with them if they can. This next 4 years will be the ugliest we've seen since the Civil War.
