Some people are never satisfied... Hopefully a clear out this summer and a team that actually turns up more often than not...

I'm sick of thread topics and OPs that do nothing to explain the subject alluded to. Why should people have to do Google searches to discover what the thread is about?

Is writing one coherent sentence too much to expect of people who open topics here?

Be careful what you wish for. Wenger may not be perfect, but then finding a successor will be difficult, will the new guy be as good? Will he uphold the same principles? Will he tolerate the board's control? A lot of big questions.

But after all he has done for Arsenal, what he has given and how successful he has been over 20 years, he deserves respect, and the abuse he gets is completely unreasonable. The man has been dignified for virtually the whole period, and he deserves to decide when he quits.

I miss the annual Wenger versus Sir Alex duel. Seems like since his Auld Adversary retired, Arsene is looking a little lost.

Arsene Winger enjoys the full support of the owners of Arsenal, year after year he delivers a profit on the balance sheet. No premiership trophies, but lots of black ink. As long as the fans buy the tickets and shirts and the TV money rolls in, he is the safest manager in world football.

So an FA cup is not enough for you, plus they beat Chelsea in the finals :banghead:

Apart from the FA Cup win... Arsenal have been without a trophy for a number of years, and the lack of investment in the playing side (either through the board not authorising the funds or Wengers reluctance to splash the transfer money he has)

It also seems, that everybody is happy for European Champions league qualification (A finish within the top 4 in the Premier League gets CL qualification automatically or through qualifiers), And to get knocked out by Bayern Munich by 5+ goals.
