Did you switch parties and vote for the other candidate in 2016?[/quote
I am an Independent voter who has voted Republican, just did last Mayoral election here, but mostly Democratic over many years. I voted for Hillary holding my nose, because I knew what we would get with tRump. I supported Bernie, but Hillary and her crew took care of that because they wanted to push the first woman President above all else. We can thank the Congresswoman from Florida for that. I have to admit that never in my worst dreams did I expect this lying and cheating and madness with this man.
I'm also an independent who used to sometimes vote for republicans. I will never make that mistake again. Only a handful of Rs are showing any spine in the face of this blatant corruption. It's not about trump at this point, it's the cowardice of the republicans when it comes to putting country over party. I will never forgive them.
It is an alarming trend we are seeing with this congress, they are more interested in protecting this Buffoon than protecting the US. They are sure showing their true colors, power over country and Democracy. These guys are cowards, afraid of the President and his mindless followers. The seek to retain their seats above all else. As I said, I voted for Ronald Reagan once, I voted for GW Bush once, I will never again vote Republican in a National Election. I do in a local once in a great while such as Mayor. Never in the State either, the Republicans here are no different than in Washington, pro-wealthy, pro- tax cuts for the wealthy, anti- labor, anti-abortion. anti-minimum wage, anti-medicare, anti- SS, anti-social safety net, you name it, just like mindless automatons. The minute they open their mouths,it turns me off.
It is better to die on your feet, than live on your knees.
