You cannot deny that the "cannot denies" are a bad sign for the non aviation part of the forum.

I cannot deny that nilla wafers aren't very exciting on their own. True.

Reminds me of being a kid and going on rounds with my dad at the hospital. Always had tons of Nilla wafers in the small kitchen for the floor.

I literally just ate one of my toddlers before I jumped on the computer here. I haven't had them in years until recently when I got them for him. They are exactly how I remember, not bad!

I don't think I've ever seen Nilla Wafers here in the United Kingdom. Could someone please paint me a picture with words? How are they?

America has let me down before when I tried a Twinkie. Bleh!

I am trying to think off something that is close to them......Okay (this actually took about 5 mins of me thinking, doesn't translate well on the net)......

Think of the sponge fingers that come (or did, it's been a couple of decades) in the birds trifle boxes, same texture, just round.

I saw a book in the health/diet section of Barnes&Noble once which explained, among some other disturbing but also unsurprising facts, that some of the "ingredients" in Twinkies are also found in building materials.

Please don't assess our cuisine - or even our confections - based on those yellow miasmas.

Those Bird's trifle are pretty good.

Don't get me wrong, I do have a few guilty pleasures I indulge in whenever I visit the United States, especially cinnamon or blueberry Eggo. Ah man, I need to find a UK importer at a decent price.

I like Nilla Waffers, not gonna lie. I bought a box of generic ones the other week to have on hand for a treat for my 2-year old. I kind of ate most of the box myself.

You also cannot deny that Animal Planet would be better if the logo still had an elephant on it.

Sweet schmeet; they're just gross. Spongey and greasy and building materials-y.

Gross.

Ya know what's less gross, is nectarines. They shall be in season soon!! :bouncy:

Of course. You can make booze from nectarines. You can't do that from Nilla Wafers. Nectarines always win.

I loved Twinkies when I was really young, but then in kindergarten I somehow ate a bad one, got sick, and I haven't touched one since. Even the thought of them makes me nauseated.

Kindergarten is a little early for such an experience.

I think I get a craving for a Twinkie once every eight years or so, but the older I get the more easily repulsed I get by fake food. Natural foods only for me (and when it's time for a bakery treat, I opt for fresh-baked; not shelf-life )

Archie.

Archie was the dog's name. How disrespectful of me not to remember him properly.
