Hi everyone. I really apologize for the thread title being a cliffhanger and kinda random, but I really feel like this would be important to share, especially on a site like this.

Some of you may already know the whole story, but was a really young avgeek named Andrew McMorris. He was 12 years old and was a huge aviation fan. On Instagram, he would post pictures on his account (@am.aviation) of aircraft from his home airports such as JFK and ISP. He also posted pictures of models, wing views from traveling, and him flying Cessnas. He had an ultimate goal to fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot for American Airlines and fly their 787 Dreamliner.
On Sunday, Andrew was with his Eagle Scout club when himself and five others were hit by a driver under the influence. Unfortunately, Andrew was hurt very badly and eventually passed away from his injuries. Someone had also started a change.org petition petitioning American to name one of their Dreamliners after Andrew. I signed it. May he rest in peace.
