Man Gropes Female Passenger, Blames Trump

A man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly groping a woman on a Southwest flight from Houston to Albuquerque. When questioned by federal agents he said "The president of the United States says its OK to grab women by their private parts."

The president has nothing to do with this. He wasn’t there, didn’t tell the guy to do this. It’s common sense that this behavior is punishable.

Yep, I think a lot of us are arguing that he should get off. Er, well, bad choice of words, there . . . no getting off either way.

No, he did not say that. This gentleman didn’t read the fine print: Trump said you can do so „if you are prominent“. Guess this gentleman is not entitled to..... peeeeeep (censored) .... because he is not prominent.

Very true. Presidents do say its okay. Trump says to grab them, Clinton prefers to stick cigars inside them and stain their blue dresses.

Does this mean I can do any crime now, and get away with it just because "the President does it as well"?

To be fair, if the President of your country do something illegal and nobody persecuted him/her for doing that, other people could go to court and demand to be freed because it mean that the particular law regarding the crime committed by both the president or the defendants is Invalid.

A law became invalid when it is not enforced. This would include everything from corruption, murder, slavery, rape, pedohillia, etc. As long as it's not enforced, you are allowed to do it. Sadly.

Let see...

1. "A Florida Man"...ok, that already provide 99% of the explanation (insert other Florida jokes here :duck: )
2. He's definitely not "prominent" or "rich and famous", so the golfer-in-chief's word doesn't applied to him
3. He's grabbing the region "around the bra line", not the certain private part that the golfer-in-chief love to grab.

Seriously, though, I hope the dude get the book thrown at him. Such behaviors are never acceptable.

Or, should I use the chant of Mr. Dennison's supporters, "Lock him up! Lock him up!".

Nothing can justify a person touching another's private areas and if it happens on an airplane, then their needs to be an investigation and if apparently such an act, the assaulter face appropriate criminal charges. What a celebrity says or gets away with is no justification. Women will no longer ignore such behaviors and assaults to them and along with social media and the internet, it has become more difficult to keep them from the public. We here are well aware that in the past such improper touching on airplanes was never reported, or ignored by flight crews, but today there is correctly zero tolerance of it which hopefully discourages such assaults.

I don’t know whether the guy was a Trump supporter or not. I tend to think he was trying to make an excuse or joke to make the agents laugh since he knew he was in hot water.

Just though it was a comical excuse for repulsive behavior.

However, on second thought, it's becoming a thing of beauty. A real good x-ray into the ability of various posters to leave emotion out of technical argument - to be remembered next time there's a serious technical discussion....

Some people are just plane stupid. Not knowing how to act on an airplane. We usually see it on Spirit. This guy takes it to another level. This won’t stop until we start holding people in power (celebrities, politicians) accountable for their actions toward women. This isn’t a Republican or Democrat problem. Both sides have numerous men guilty of maltreatment of women. This is a society problem. Fixing society starts at the top with people in our government. People live by example. When you have recordings of Trump saying “grab her by the” you know the rest, as well as others on both sides of the aisle known for groping or other incidents of sexual misconduct being elected and re-elected, it communicates to the populace that this kind of behavior is ok and if it’s not they won’t be held accountable.

Stop. Just stop. "Both sides do it" justifies Republicans doing whatever they want. Grabbing women and beating Blacks and denying equal rights to LGBTQ+ and so many other examples. A sexual predator was elected by a minority of Americans who then placed a sexual predator to legislate from the Supreme Court. These are REPUBLICAN values. Not "both sides do it". Democrats hold our own accountable. Anthony Wiener, John Edwards, and Al Franken are the best examples. We removed them from office. We held them accountable. We did not elevate them to even higher offices.

Both sides do not do it.

Stop saying that. It makes Republicans look desperate.

More ironic is that Republican preach "personal responsibility", except when they f**k up it's always "Democrats does it also", or, as this man shows, "The president say it's ok". Excuses, "whataboutism", "but Hillary..." (or, in the case of any sex scandal, "but (Bill) Clinton"), etc.

Then on the flip side, they would make the same argument about how "personal responsibility" means that the creepy man, and the creepy man alone, is responsible for his action. Those supporters will never understand the concept of "With power comes responsibilities", as if the current so-call "leader" are not setting examples for his sheepies out there to "feel free to grab a certain part of body", go around and yell at every single person that doesn't speak English in a PRIVATE conversation, call 911 on blacks just b/c they're blacks, etc. But even more ironic? Whenever some "progressive socialist" hackled a Republican politicians, they quickly point fingers to people like Kamala Harris, or Obama, or whoever latest boogeyperson they can find (Not that I personally really agree with such hackling behavior myself).

P.S. I see that the mods deleted a bunch of posts. Come on, do we really need "safe space" even in non-av section?

Not debating that seb. My point is that both men used The Executive as a defense for their actions.

Of course, there was the fact that Vice-President Biden made his statement as Vice-President of The United States during an interview. While, President Trump has never advocated such action under color of his office, and the incident in question was 13 years ago.

Own it and rejoice in it, it's what you voted for. Would you still be good with it if it happened to your wife/ daughter/sister?.....right?

This dovetails nicely with the bombs found. Why should Republicans and the current occupant of the White House take any responsibility for any of this? They did not use exact words, so it is not their fault that their followers do these things. Leaders just use quiet and subtle language. Blame Democrats. Blame women who report these assaults. The party of personal responsibility and family values and every life is sacred only has time to take money from the poor and give it to the very wealthy and blame immigrants for it.

Please stop saying false things.

Trademarks do have the property (a little bit) of "enforce your claim or lose it". But criminal laws mostly don't.

If the cops enforce the laws against black people but not white people ... illegal.
If the cops enforce the laws against Democrats but not Republicans .. illegal.
If the cops enforce against some speeders/jaywalkers/pot-smokers and not others ... legal.

Quoting the Supreme Court ... "The failure to proceed against other offenders because of a lack of knowledge of prior offenses or because of the exercise of reasonable selectivity in enforcement does not deny equal protection to persons who are prosecuted, and petitioners did not allege that the failure to prosecute others was due to any other reason" Oyler v. Boles (pp. 368 U.S. 454-456). And if you don't like that cite, or want to word-smith it, there are a million others. This is really very clear law.

LOL, I really laugh quite loud on that joke. It seems like you never knew how the real world works. Quoting a specific laws that doesn't apply when you are flowing with cash and connectivity. Your own explanation already showed the flaw on it's own.

You are writing "What we want" not "What actually happen in real world".

So I'm done talking to him. And I hope the next time he get's arrested ... his defense is "everyone else does it too, and you didn't arrest them". Judges will totally accept that argument in the real world.

I mean, the Supreme Court says that argument doesn't work, every appeals court says that argument doesn't work, but go ahead and try it.

Boles (pp. 368 U.S.

Pthhhhh!

You don't actually think I would do something as stupid as Trumpets right?
