What will you wear this Christmas?

Sat Dec 01, 2018 5:10 pm

I did a thread for Thanksgiving, now I will do one for Christmas. What will you wear this Christmas?

I will be in Puerto Rico this Christmas. For my Christmas Eve party I will wear a new red/black gingham button-down shirt (in the past I have worn a solid red button-down shirt). On Christmas Day, I will wear a red interlock polo.
Yes, I wear Fairy Tale Pink IZOD shirts. I am a real man.

Pyjamas.

Honestly, who gives a crap? My tradition at this house is that we spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home with a guest or two who might otherwise be on their own. Dress code is comfortable as you want; if it suits you come in your pyjamas too. The Philips Hue gets set to a Christmas schema and it's all very relaxed.

A T-shirt and shorts. Likely a Cardinals shirt.

A shirt from college or high school and some jammy pants.

Christmas Day is one of holiness in our household, so it is strictly naturist, following scripture as Jesus was born naked.

Modesty is essential at church. I will choose a red speedo this year as it is 2018 after all. Our church is quite strict as to how one should be dressed as elders are present. One of my first cousins was chastised last year as she wore socks with her swimsuit as she has athletes foot. (She forgot that Jesus’s twin sister was born feet first and socks are a huge no-no on Christmas Day for girls).

I'm glad to hear some people still uphold standards at Christmas!

Most forget that Jesus was born naked, and we should follow his decision to reject textiles.

As we know from historic movies such as the Life of Brian, mary frequently went naked.

For this reason our pastor insists on modest nudity in church and nudity at home.

Your pastor sounds very wise. Perhaps he could take some time to send a memo to all of those Missionaries that have been hell bent on clothing Aboriginal people for centuries.

I always wear red on Christmas. While I wear pink most of the time, the days I try to ensure I wear pink are Valentine's Day and Easter.
