Offensive? None.

Repulsive? Plenty.

Gross.

I suppose I could find a way to be offended by "The Twelve Days of Christmas," as it seems to celebrate the fact that there are "ladies dancing" available for sale. The defense however can make a case that gender equality is in place due to the "lords a-leaping" also referenced.

Not sure I find any of them offensive but then I don’t really get offended by things. The main thing that annoys me is that people take it all so seriously.

What do you mean by the word offensive? Why should those songs offend you, they seem pretty harmless to me. Now whether or not they are annoying, that's a whole 'nuther topic. Especially when they start playing in November, the morning after Thanksgiving.

The sound of Mariah Carey's voice offends my ears in general, does that count?

Yes, that counts.

Having said that, I'm more with Aeroflot777 in saying that Christmas music in general is more annoying than offensive. But since I don't frequent the places where the music is played and don't listen to the radio in general I am fairly unaffected by this and don't care at all...

Yeah, this is pretty offensive to my ears. Like nails on a chalkboard amped up to 120-dB.

If we are going with offensive to the ears, the Chipmunks and 'I want a hippopotamus for Christmas' have to be mentioned. These songs make me envy the hard of hearing.

The only song that I find really offensive is Madonna's version of "Santa Baby," because the song is so cute in a bad way that it is becoming an ear-sore! Any other version of "Santa Baby" will do (although the original version from Eartha Kitt is much preferable).

To be fair, having these lumps of turd played in every damn public place from the end of October, does rapidly become offensive. There are a large number of people who either/and don't share that particular faith, don't have kids or simply couldn't give a flying about the commercialised guilt tripping clap trap that is forced upon the populous. Yes, Christmas is offensive to millions, Christmas songs would be included.

Nothing offends me. Words only have as much meaning and power as you attach to them. If you go out and seek offence then it will never be too far away.

I find songs obnoxious but not offensive. Fairytale of New York is probably my least favourite but sadly it seems to be everyone’s favourite. I think someone decided to get offended over the use of the word ‘faggot’ but this faggot couldn’t care less if I tried. Thankfully the singers have refused to remove the word. It’s funny that these professionally offended people never seem to find time to get offended about the N word in hip hop music nor the disgusting things they sing about.

For me, I find any song with religious verbiage offensive in today's world. Religious Christmas music has no place in a modern world where science can prove otherwise.

All of it, according to Fox News' War on Christmas segment.

Nonsense. More people in the west and christian countrys embrace Christmas rather than oppose it. Christmas songs aren’t being banned because a minority dislike it. It’s been part of culture for decades and will be continuing for years to come.

Who said anything about banning it? Or indeed anything about ratios. You'd be surprised how many detest the so called 'season'.
Christmas is nothing but a three month long annoyance to millions of people in the ''West'.That includes many that 'celebrate' it.

See definition of offensive previously posted.

For anyone who has ever worked in retail listening to Christmas music on repeat while dealing with nasty customers: ALL. OF. IT.

Let's do Christmas spirit without the damn music, k? Retail workers, current and former, will thank you.

The most annoying is Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time.

"Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer." And you can bet if it happened in L.A. the reindeer was likely here illegally, didn't have a license or insurance, and fled the scene.

I'm told that Christmas is meant to be a joyous celebration. So why are so many Christmas carols sung as if the choir is attending a funeral?

No songs offend me, but I do find some irritating. Listening to White Christmas or Jingle Bells in the Australian bush during a heatwave just doesn't do it for me. :)

There is no such thing as "offensive" music. Just people with some sort of mental disorder that can't tune something they don't like out.

All the usual stuff is highly annoying, but not even remotely offensive. If it's offensive you're looking for, however, lend your ears to this: https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=585_1341389786
