I think I can agree on RC but I haven't had it in forever.

Otherwise my go to is Coca Cola.

But I am not that picky.

I still like to try and get Fitz whenever I'm back in town. That and a Serra's pizza. I can't go home and not have Serra's pizza. Anybody reading this, if you go to st. louis and want authentic st. louis style pizza. You go to Serra's.

Pepsi Max. I was addicted to Max-cino and then they stopped making it!

Can't abide sugary varieties of cola nowadays. Even Aldi's version of cherry coke tastes better than that made with the white death. May go-to nowadays is therefore ice cold Pepsi Max.

I quit soda a while ago but RC is the best out of the colas. Dr Pepper trumps them all.

Vess haha. I might have to get some soon, thanks for reminding me of that. Fitz is definitely the correct overall root beer. If you visit STL and don't have a Fitz or frozen custard then you haven't visited at all. Luckily both are at the airport now so even layover people can indulge

I don't know why but I don't like the colas. When I want a soda I always pick 7up, Sprite, or Ginger Ale.

Virgin Cola was the king of colas, until it was discontinued. Now I don't really mind, but I suppose Pepsi slightly over Coke.

I've always been a Pepsi guy. I prefer the slightly sweeter flavor of Pepsi over Coca-Cola. RC cola is fine, but it's not widely available and has virtually zero presence in restaurants. Honestly, I'll happily drink any brand of cola as long as it's not diet cola because diet soda tastes like crap and aspartame is far worse for you than the extra sugar in regular soda is. Although I've heard some diet sodas are aspartame free now. Still, I rest my case though. Diet sodas are crap.

I think root beer and cream soda are superior to colas, however.

As a side note on fizzy drinks... Asda in the UK has started selling grape Fanta. About damn time! I love grape soda, but it was a bitch to find in the UK.

Stomach is already very acid so there is no problem.

Drinking gigantic amounts like some US people do usually has an effect on their teeth, though.

I had Thumb Up for the first time last year, I really liked it, but I can't get it in Norway.

Coca-Cola is really the only acceptable answer. Pepsi is disgusting.

I find it HILARIOUS that Pepsi's new commercials are built around the idea that everyone asks for a Coke and wait staff at non-Coke restaurants have to ask, "Is Pepsi okay?" Pepsi has the biggest inferiority complex. Coke basically never even acknowledges Pepsi. They know they're better and that they're more popular. I wish Coke would break face for once and make a response commercial where someone freaks out when the waiter says, "Is Pepsi okay?"

It's a lot more complicated than people here are letting on.

From a bottle Pepsi is better. With Jack a Coke is better (preferribly from a fountain but can coke is superior to can pepsi). The McDonald's mixture of syrup for coke is far superior to the mixture that Sonic uses. Taco Bell (owned by Pepsi co) has the best pepsi mix.. but it's inferior to McDonald's coke.

Coke does always taste better at McDonald's than it does at other places. Pepsi is also particularly good at Pizza Hut. However, I especially like that most Burger Kings have Cherry Coke on tap.

I disagree; although I no longer drink sugary drinks, my favorite is the glass-bottled Mexican Coca-Cola (made with real sugar and not that evil high-fructose corn syrup) that is produced in Monterrey, Mexico and shipped to America.

I now think that sugary drinks should be eliminated, so I haven't had a soda in several months.

I'm not sure that I've had a sip of RC since the late 1970's :boggled:

We were living in Chicago and whenever we sent out for pizza there was always a 2-liter bottle of RC that arrived with the goods. It's a mildly important memory to me; I can't accept the notion of RC cola using any logo other than the one they adopted in 1970 (at least according to this website: https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/RC_Cola )

Living in Atlanta, Coca-Cola is the only choice. I'm pretty sure Pepsi is a swear word around here.

Actually I learned about RC Cola when getting it from a vending machine, they also had a German brand on offer, so I was more than surprised about that.

RC is the best, IMHO...but it’s hard to find around here. Coke and Pepsi go back and forth with me. Sometimes I swear the recipe is altered slightly, but mostly it’s because one is a much better price.

But Mexican/Kosher for Passover Coke blows everything else out of the water. I’ll have to look when Passover is and where the nearest store is that carries them and doesn’t charge Philly’s obscene tax.

And I get PISSED when I go into a bar, “I’ll have a Rum and Coke, please.” “Is Pepsi okay?” That’s the ONE time substitutions should be illegal; Coke is in the name for crying out loud.
