What do you think Trump and Stormy signed a legally binding contract for, deferred prostitution services? Not only did Stormy admit the sex was consensual and she did it because she wanted to, you cannot enter a legally binding contract for an illegal service or activity. Even this CNN headline is "Judge tosses Stormy Daniels' lawsuit against Trump over hush money agreement"

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/07/politics ... ush-money/

"US District Judge James Otero says the suit, which sought to invalidate the $130,000 agreement that kept Daniels from speaking publicly about her allegations of an affair with Trump ahead of the 2016 election, should be sent back to California Superior Court.'

If he would have paid her off through his own personal account, that would fall under state or district law. However, there is strong evidence to suggest he used federal election funds to pay her off, which is a federal crime.

Look at the last 4 Republican presidents. The more successful one is the more the left claims they are an idiot.

Trump
Reagan
Bush 43
Bush 41

The only one Democrats have any respect for is Bush 41 even before he passed away and not just because he fought in a war and he was a lackluster one term president. Of course there is now some feigned respect for his son when it’s convenient to contrast him with Trump. Reagan was constantly called an idiot with dementia by the left yet he won in 49 of 50 states when he was re-elected.

You could even apply that logic to the last two Democratic ones but I think that has more to do with Obama’s race. Clinton was clearly a more successful better president but Obama of course is the smartest man in the room.

I don't care what party someone is from - idiots are just purely anathemic to me.

And as I have posted elsewhere, I was raised by parents who respected Reagan as a decent man with good intentions, even if they didn't like a lot of his policy positions. The guy above him in your list doesn't belong in his company.

Roughly 80 percent of self-identified white, born-again or evangelical Christians said they voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, according to the Pew Research Center.

And even with that kind of support, 45 could secure only 30% of eligible voters. If he doesn't secure suburban women this time around, he's finished.

And then the point I was adding was that in theory, it should have made a big difference to those "religious" and "evangelicals" that voted for him since it is a primary law in their beloved text. Trump is that kid who punches you so he can have an excuse to punch you when you punch back. You know, the one that mocks someone and makes fun of them and his weak-ass, chicken friends then kinda join in (cuz' their scared and wussy and can't do on their own) then when one does fight back the gathered crowd reacts "Oohhh!" Go for it duude" and cheer as he again hits at the one who chose to respond, to fight back. Cuz' it fun! It's punk sh!t but fun.

He's an ass. And a poor president. I am actually very curious what will happen the next election. He won on a razor thin margin vote-wise, a loss in any of several states will doom his re-election. But equally, if enough turn a blind eye to his assness and for some reason believe he is the reason for the economy etc. then he might win.

I understand that you don’t like Trump. I’m pretty OK with your unhappiness about him. I agree that he will need to thread a needle in order to win again, but I think that he will. Right now Biden is out there saying along with all the other Dems that the first thing they will do is raise taxes.

I just don’t think that the combination of “Trump is an ass” and “we are going to raise your taxes” is the winning combo for the left.

The choice was Trump or Hillary. They voted for Trump before Stormy came forward IIRC. They still would have picked him over her because they probably see abortion as more horrific and sinful than an affair. Both are against the 10 commandments as is taking the Lord's name in vain. Just as they probably would think murder is worse than that too and worse than coveting your neighbor's possessions, like being jealous of the car someone drives.

I don’t think it’s that Democrats don’t think he’s a legitimate president. It’s that they don’t think he’s an appropriate person to BE president. All of the things Democrats said about Trump that would jeopardize the country’s standing in the world, demean the office of the presidency, the fact that he was not and is not prepared to run this country, did not and does not have the character to be the president, lacked basic knowledge of the history of this country, did not and does not have the intelligence to hold an office of such stature and importance, are ALL of the things that have proven to be true. It’s the fact that the people who voted for him were so reckless with their vote to allow someone like him to be elected president and be the representative of the country that we all now have to deal with everyday that infuriates them. I believe the mueller report accurately reflected what happened, both on the conspiracy and obstruction fronts. And it doesn’t change my belief one bit that this man is the worst possible person who this nation could have elected to be our leader. You’re damn right dems are angry. And there’s no reason for them to feel bad about being angry and resentful. It’s horrible what has happened and I hope the country learns from this and never takes the power of what can happen when you are irresponsible with your vote for granted again.

Of course it’s this. He’s a shit individual and businessman, wears his insecurities like an ill-fitting suit and is no kind of role model or leader whatsoever. My parents disagreed with many of Reagan’s policies when I was growing up but never disparaged him as a person - why? He wasn’t a terrible person and it showed.

U01: Ronald Reagan and the Federal Deinstitutionalization of Mentally Ill Patients
Saw that and more, watched the entire Iran Contra BS show, remember his shutting down all federally funded Mental Health care facilities (exactly the reason why you see homeless people everywhere).
For billions (if not trillions) to given to the Military Industrial Complex...I'd prefer instead of pockets of Professional Gov't Welfare Grifters it be spent on Americans in dire need, hell even the lifelong welfare dependent because they are going put it right back in the economy whereas the Fat Cats redistribute to Swiss bank accounts.

See the movie Salvador and watch that and tell me that's foreign policy you can look in the eye and get behind.

Reagan was trained actor (mediocre at best) aka..good at reading 'lines' - as President, that's all he did. His speeches you like (like every Oresident) were written for him only thing is by being an actor, even with Alzheimers he could deliver a speech better than any president..Obama included.

But he was a decent guy up to the point of being unaware of what was being done in his name...and it was bad, really bad.

Trump is going to run based on his numbers with his "base" I think that will be a losing strategy. The independents that voted for him are going to see that he has brought the social issues nutcases to the forefront, and he will lose those votes.

It makes me chuckle that his rah-rah supporters (most likely foreign on this message board) expect his support to stay the same ... and somehow magically grow! I hear with my own ears many, many people (i.e. independents) are incredibly tired of this Debacle in Chief.

Piss poor poll numbers in a thriving economy (and most likely a recession looming inexorably down the road)?

Living in Trump country myself, I sometimes laugh at the fact that all the people around me really thinks Trump is just going to get reelected with zero efforts. Meanwhile, 2018 already shows that IQ45 had increasingly lose support in suburban areas (historically Republican voting base but are also fairly elastic) while only "pander" to the same core support that will vote for him no matter who's running against IQ45 anyway.

If IQ45 is facing an uphill battle despite the relatively good economy, once the economy go south, there's no way IQ45 can win.

You should probably look at how many seats Obama lost nationally in 2010...one of if not the greatest loss in the history of the U.S. He was STILL re-elected in 2012.

By the way, who exactly does the Dems have that can beat Trump? There is literally nobody announced today that can draw the types of crowds that Trump draws. For a comparison, look at the crowd size for Trumps re-election rally this week to the number 1 Democratic contender Joe Biden...the difference is yuge!

Crowd size is irrelevant and silly. As has been observed even by Fox, Dems in major metropolitan areas typically don’t have the kind of employment one can simply take time off from to attend a rally.

There is historically a swing the other way during the first mid-term election, so Obama having so many Republicans is not really anything. They kept hammering away at "we must repeal Obamacare" and "we must make Obama a one term president" with no alternate plans at all is key.

As far as opponents to the occupant of the White House, you must understand that there are like 22 Democrats running. A lot of people are going to vote for a Democrat regardless. Just because there are so many does not mean a win for individual number one.

And yet he had to claim 5-6 more people than actually have been there. ...
