Re: Pakistan as a Tourist Destination

Last week, the US State Department softened it's travel advisory for Pakistan and Pakistan's Foreign Ministry welcomed the change. The level of advice for Pakistan remains the same, Level 4 (do not travel) for the Line of Control, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan and Level 3 (reconsider travel) for the rest of the country, the US has acknowledged that the security situation has improved since 2014. This comes after the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Norway softened their advisories for Pakistan and this is a step in the right direction.

So basically dont travel to Pakistan is the advice, from reconsider to dont travel. Since their main cities have nothing of historical importance, they should try adventure tourism. Play on their strengths. For excitement junkies ,they can position Pakistan as " the most dangerous country to travel to". They have around 30000 terrorists in Pakistan as per their PM imran niazi a month back. Maybe start tours of terrorist training camps ? I have lots of ideas for Pakistan.

The UK government's advice for Pakistan is to avoid all travel to some places, avoid non essential to some other areas, and to exercise caution in the rest of the country.
