They still have to face the Springboks and All Blacks so going thru requires a miracle, don't see that happening. AB comfortable win over Canada with al the Bauden brothers scoring.

A few too many handling errors for my liking re the All Blacks. Yes I know itead humid and slippery etc... but could have been a bit more clinical. Comfortable win but room to improve as the rwc goes on

If Wales manages to beat Fiji I hope Ben Skeen is on the next plane back to New Zealand. His input in this game and world cup has been absolutely appalling.

According to some media the Saturday games will be canceled and as result of that both games will be a 0-0 draw.
For the French and English no big deal as they already made the quarterfinals. For the AB it could mean the loss of a bonus point but other then that no big impact. The Italians theoraticly had a small chance of going thru but can pack and go home now. Now there's talk about the Scotland Japan game on Sunday being canceled and that will have a big impact on the poule if canceled Japan will finish first and the Scots mostlikely go home

Understand Italy's chances against NZ were rather thin but it's a shame to not let them take their chances, on top playing NZ in a world cup must be something any rugby player dreams of. Very sad for them.

It's ok for France vs England, both were already qualified and know each other rather well.

Canceling Scotland - Japan would be completely unfair for the whole pool A.

It's to bad, but I my opinion the poule stages take to long anyway. Some teams had 10 days between matches. For AB the time between the last and the next game is again to long, you want to get in a rithem and this does not help.

I'm sure than if the shoe was on the foot and the All Blacks or any other top tier nation required points to make the playoff or top spot their Union Board would be knocking on the IRB's door demanding the game be played.

Rightfully so.
They could play on monday or tuesday, in japan or not : but the quali for quarters must be decided on a field.

We will never know, but I think so too.
Italy deserved to be eliminated (or not, of course...) after an actual game ! It makes me sick for them, ending their WC after a training, without the fight they were working on for weeks.

On the other hand the typhoon seems to be a huge one. Safety first, priority for is to have all means available for the country, competition comes after that.
A thought for all the japanese

Well Japan sent Scotland home and top their poule. I must admit I was not impressed by Scotland, but what a tremendous result for Japan. South Africa next for them.

Great win for Japan. Hopefully SanZar takes another look at the Sunwolves again after Japan's performance so far.
