Rep. Duncan Hunter Pleads Guilty

Wed Dec 04, 2019 5:56 pm

After denying any wrong doing, claiming he was the victim of a witch hunt and ranting about fake news Duncan Hunter has decided to plead guilty to the charges. It probably didn't help that his wife was cooperating with prosecutors. Why would his own wife do that you ask? It might have something to do with Mr. Family Values having multiple affairs funded in part with campaign contributions.

What got him is trouble was good old fashioned journalism on the part of the San Diego Union Tribune asking how he could afford his lifestyle. It;s the same thing that got another San Diego area congressman in trouble back in 2005. What funded his lifestyle were him and his wife using campaign contributions to pay for it all. Including spending $500 to fly the family rabbit with them on a trip. Mr. Fiscal Conservative also seemed to have a problem balancing his check book. The $36,000 in overdraft penalties, paid for with campaign contributions, attest to this.

Anyone knows who he endorsed in 2016?

Anyone know that he was the First Congressmen to endorse this person in 2016?

What is that old saying? Takes one to know one?

Don't expect any defense of this criminal from the MAGA bench, they are punch drunk (worn out from dodging facts) ...and are too busy scrambling for any straw they can find to defend their criminal hero in the WH.

She threw him under the bus because when this news first broke, Duncan said she managed all the family money and campaign spending, and it was obviously her fault. Of course, we know that’s not true as it has since come to light, a significant amount of money Duncan spent with and on his multiple mistresses. As if the wife is going to be breaking the law to buy gifts, dinners, and hotel rooms for his whores. She was only going to break the law if she could spend the money on something.

Here’s Duncan receiving the “True Blue Family Values” award from the Family Research Council (gay hate group) just last year.

What’s even more despicable is that Duncan Hunter was re-elected to the House while under indictment. This makes him the 3rd Republican in the past cycle that Republican voters, didn’t care about active criminality. They went to the polls because a philandering, indicted criminal, is just fine, so long as he’s a Republican. It’s no surprise these hypocrites fully support Trump’s criminality.

If there's one lesson to take away from this is not to vote for someone just because they're a veteran. That's how you get guys like him and Randy Cunningham

Why haven't Mr. Duncan resigned from Congress yet? After a felony conviction of a member, party leaders usually pressure them to step down. Katie Hill resigned quickly after her ex posted pictures, yet Mr. Duncan continues to draw a paycheck but is unable to perform his duties as a Congressman. Heck of a leadership team the GOP House has..of course Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is apparently okay with Steve King just drawing a paycheck also.

Three words:

Party Before Country

These people do not care as long as they have seats. I suspect this seat may be flipped if he were to step down. GOP leadership knows this. They fear giving up power. They have no plans or anything other than staying in power. That is really all they care about.
You bet I'm pumped!!! I just had a green tea!!!

Because the Republican party doesn't require personal responsibility from their folks in the age of Trump.

It boggles the mind to be sure. AlFranken resigns his senate seat over some pictures but Duncan Hunter only resigns, and not right away, when he realizes hes going to be convicted of a felony.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, the lone Republican in San Diego’s congressional delegation, officially left office Monday after he pleaded guilty to a felony involving illegal campaign spending early last month.

And his seat will remain vacant until the election later this year. No special election.

What an a$$#ole.
