Iraq defense ministry: Baghdad discussing deeper military ties with Moscow, considers S400 purchase

The US strike in Iraq that killed Soleimani has given way to a new detenté between Iraq and Russia as Baghdad seeks to overhaul the country's defense strategy following a decision by Iraq's parliament to expel US troops. Iraq is rumored to be discussing an S400 arms deal with Russia.

Would it be unduly political to suggest that we need leadership who knows how to get along with our allies? Who haven't we gratuitously insulted and offended in the last three years?
Buffet: the airline business...has eaten up capital...like..no other (business)

Doesn´t happen often that two Presidents lose the same war twice..... at least Bush jr. didn´t make fun of casualties...

Not doing a drone strike killing leadership high up in the chain of command like Muhandis is probably a good way to avoid pissing off critical allies and turning them towards Russia. But that ship has sailed.
