Historic Route 66 Hotel in Oklahoma Destroyed by Fire

Wed Jul 01, 2020 9:21 pm

A fire that started on Tuesday has destroyed or severely damaged two historic buildings in Afton, Oklahoma. One of them is the Palmer Hotel built in 1911 and is an Afton landmark built along Route 66. The fire occured in a long row of historic buildings over 100 years old and 38 units consisting of 75 firefighters are currently fighting the blaze. Hopefully, the historic buildings will be able to be saved and restored.

They can always transport an old, retired ocean liner or cruiseship there to create a new tourist attraction and hotel. With the height from keel to mask, they might even be able to build and observation deck on top. Did I cover all the bases?
