Georgia School in Viral Photo Shut Down for COVID-19 Cleaning

Mon Aug 10, 2020 11:40 pm

A Georgia high school where pictures and videos of packed hallways went viral is shutting down for deep cleaning after 9 people there were tested positive for COVID-19. Six students and three staff members at North Paulding High School have tested positive for COVID-19. Hopefully, this will convince school districts to reexamine options for reopening.

Is anyone sick?

I mean, they say the people were there for days because... they weren’t ill.

For people under 50, Covid and Flu track similarly for actual illness, and in terms of severe illness, flu is worse in those under 30. To develop herd immunity (which seems to be a verifiable thing with Covid based on the curve from New York), we want the least vulnerable to severe illness to create that herd.

They also don’t explain how they found out? Did someone test positive and then they tested those in contact? Was it a teacher who infected the kids?

You might say that it’s “easy for me to say it’s not your kid.” My son has been going to a day camp for weeks with no problems, both our kids will be returning to a modified school environment soon.
Of all the things to worry about... the Wookie has no pants.

Obvious outcome is obvious.

Does it matter? This kids will go back home to their parents, and possibly other, older relatives who will potentially be exposed.

Because it is America, and Georgia is Republican, and Fox News/Trump has been telling Republicans the virus is fake
Instead of typing in "mods", consider using the report function.
Love how every "travel blogger" says they will never fly AA/Ethihad again and then says it again and again on subsequent flights.
