He had been fighting cancer for a while so while very sad its not exactly shocking news to hear.
He had been a staple of TV for my entire life, don't know how you can have the show with out him.

He gave such good news just a few months ago too. He will be missed by so many. I’m only in my early 30s and I loved tuning in. Don’t know how he can be replaced

More unhappy news 
on a day where my arthritis in my hip already made it a bad one.
I'm old enough to have watched the original Jeopardy, but Alex was one of the most delightful hosts of any TV game show.
I remember a thread, maybe on this forum, about who could replace him, and my memory of the consensus was no one could do the job as well.
I will miss him, but I know he was tired and pancreatic cancer is not a pleasant way to go.
May he rest in peace.

From the earliest time I can remember, he made dry wit and being intellectual cool. It certainly wasn't cool in my family, so that meant everything. Suave. Canadian. Patriotic American. Philosophical. Environmental protector. Told it like it was. RIP Alex.

Alex Trebek has reached the final round. Even in his illness, he was inspiring to many, trying to keep working as long as he could despite his illness. It will be different with him no longer the host of Jeopardy,

A very sad day in our household.
The wife and I were lucky enough to have seats at LA Kings games right next to his, the wife and I got to talk to him and Jean a number of times, very down to earth people. We got to share the cup wins in 2012 and 14, something I will always remember.

He will surely be missed by millions....really classy guy. Got to meet him in Bahrain in 1994 at the USO.
