“The Woman in Me” — Shania Twain

“Vogue” — Madonna

“Everybody” — Backstreet Boys

Yeah I know. Questionable taste in videos. But for me, videos are supposed to be fun or just purely aesthetically pleasing. There are plenty of much better songs but they have uninspiring videos, if any at this point. There’s going to be a whole generation of kids who know nothing of the real MTV, VH1, or CMT.

Tell It To My Heart - Taylor Dayne
Bad Blood - Bastille
Sweet But Psycho - Ava Max
Bang! - AJR
I Want You Back - NSYNC
La La La - Sam Smith (I read a local legend about this video so this song has a whole other meaning)

You can never ever go wrong with Vivaldi

Johnny Cash, Hurt

Very emotional

Ultravox, Dancing with tears in my eyes
https://m.youtube.com/watch?index=12&li ... SQWUZ8a2Ho

They produced their videos by themselves. The record company were very happy since they saved the money for a fully fledged video production

Of course I watched her videos, she is a Long Island girl I watching all her stuff and she was incredibly talented. It was just funny and I am messing with you. the production value of the video is low but that is what they did with vids back then and yes I know about the dancers though I only fancy her but more power to you and those two guys tho you need to drive at least a 100k car for them to call you back.

It's VERY basic though...because it's Chris Brown. For modern, what's really cool is something more arty or with interesting social commentary. Like these:

Superhumanoids - 'So Strange' (contains nudity, NSFW)

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 'Heads Will Roll'

I remember back in the day of REAL music videos (you do to, it looks like) when the first video was low budget. Stacey Q "Two Of Hearts" is similar. I would even argue that Toni Basil "Micky" is. Some of those low budget videos are the best.

Since Taylor Dayne's two back up dancers are not on my "top five freebie list" I guess I will have to wait.... there really is no not creepy way to end that statement......

I frankly forget they still make music videos anymore, most of the time I look up music on Youtube its a lyrics or an image. However there are a few gems out there, I've always found the video for Genesis "Land of Confusion" both fun and creepy in equal parts. Ran across that one randomly.

They were one of my favorite bands and a great live show, especially when Gabriel was still ion board. Steve Hackett was a vastly under-rated guitarist. They sort of lost me though when they went less progressive and more commercial pop oriented.

Aw c'mon, there's only one number one video:

"Losing My Religion" by R.E.M.

I would also add "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley and "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak.

My two cents:

Sing - travis

Billie Eilish - when the party's over

Leonard Cohen - Happens to the Heart

One more, don't even know if this qualifies as a music video anymore.

Three mentions above are absolute musts from the 80s:

‘Sledgehammer’
‘Money For Nothing’
and ‘Boys of Summer’

I frankly forget they still make music videos anymore, most of the time I look up music on Youtube its a lyrics or an image. However there are a few gems out there, I've always found the video for Genesis "Land of Confusion" both fun and creepy in equal parts. Ran across that one randomly.

There are some good new videos and songs out there. The past week I have discovered a bunch of new (for me) heavy metal bands and there are some really good video to a few of the songs.

One of the bands i discovered is Mono Inc and the most recent album is named "the book of fire" and is a sort of themed album about witch hunt/The inquisition

A well-crafted Gothic album that takes you back to the time of the Inquisitions in medieval Europe and tells the story of the ‘Book Of Fire’, a mystical artefact containing centuries of secret knowledge and how a young healer called Aellin is chosen to be its new guardian

The videos for the albums are very well made:

Thinking of it: Kim Wilde should do a song with Lana Del Rey.

She's not, her father is Marty Wilde who was a rocker in the 1950s.

I mentioned this one before, I just watched it again and I think it is the greatest music video of all time.

a-ha "Take on Me" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djV11Xbc914

The view count is staggering for a song from the 80s, or indeed from any era:

1,189,188,788 views... that's over a billion views at the time of posting this.
