Back in September, the Prime Minister of Sudan and a rebel group signed a declaration to make Sudan a secular state and is the first of it's kind since the country's independence in 1956. This ked to a conflict in the Sovereignty Council though, but hopefully Sudan can become a secular democracy. We can have best wishes for the future of Sudan.

The U.S. is in a romance with (evangelical) Christianism. Imagine the firestorm if a presidential candidate said he believed in Allah the Great - even if the U.S. has a wholly secular constitution which expressly forbids favoring one religion over another.

as clearly demonstrated in the Obama years, you don´t need to profess believing in Allah, its enough for other saying you do.
