Joe Biden impeachment

Fri Jan 22, 2021 12:40 am

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl ... 90965.html

Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene files articles of impeachment against Joe Biden, but it's probably going to go nowhere.

She has been rather busy on social media also:

Total waste of time and will never go to a floor vote. Greene is more concerned with validation from her Twitter flock than governance.

The Traitor from Georgia should be tossed out and tried for crimes against the United States.

Such a strong constitutional knowledge she has when she filed impeachment articles for events that did not occur during this term. She’s brilliant, I tell you.

Not to mention ‘events’ already investigated by the GOP Senate last year and with determination of no wrongdoing.

Wow. Can't have one day full of peace in this country without dirty politics.

I think Biden is doing good so far by keeping focus on the immediate crisis at hand, the pandemic.

She's just one of those who's fully committed to the Trump lunatic movement and will try to somehow keep it alive within the government...

I think she, and all the other dangerous idiots doing the same, will find it pretty hard to keep that stinky fire going as most of the mainstream GOP will have no interest in following through with it, now that they can't use Trump for their own benefit.

This is just the start, Republican fringe are going to file articles every time Biden mis-speaks, wears a tan suit, allows his family to visit him in the Whitehouse etc etc etc

I wouldn't be shocked at an impeachment being filed every other week or so. And the accompanied outrage that none of them are being given "the serious consideration that is due", of course.

for four years Republicans falsely claimed in outrage that Trump impeachment was on the way within minutes after him taking office when it was in fact 10 month, just to do the just that with an incoming President.

Makes me worry about those Republicans claiming Democrats are pedophile satanist cannibals since they seem to do all the blame Democrats for ...

This is going to become a regular occurrence now. If the GOP takes the house in 2022 (which they likely will) I fully expect they’ll impeach Biden

Impeach him for what? Defeating Trump by winning more electoral college votes than him? Not being orange?

I can guarantee that if thats the case, then it will mark the point at which the world decides to sideline the US as a country and remove its power. Having a powerful country with so much sway globally that wildly swings in policy every 4 years, and now has an active political war going on, is just dangerous.

:checkmark:
convincing the world that the US electorate has learned a lesson, and won´t put a raging mad man into the White House again at any time soon is a tall enough order already given the embarrassing amount of vote Trump got.

Nobody takes seriously the country in which the political circus is taking place. If the parties do not agree with each other and the political activity of the country (both external and internal) generally does not stabilize, then who will plan something with such a country for the future?

Crackpots like this uneducated fool from GA are symptomatic of the problem. But the US has been demonstrating stability issues for a few years now. It is not a surprise that other nations will be looking into alliances and coalitions that do not involve us.

Feel free to nominate a nation that does not have some form of political circus and parties all agree with each other so other nations can fall in line behind.

Reading a ways down the article:

A Senate investigation by Republicans last year found no evidence of corruption against the president and no evidence that his son’s work for Burisma, an oil company, influenced US foreign policy.

So, why does she want to impeach him? Corruption? After her own party said there is no corruption?

Short of deploying the military the US position is mostly based on soft power. That evaporates proportionally with perceived reliability as a partner.

A certainty except for the timing.

Additionally nobody expects the GOP to take a sewing machine to the cut tablecloth.

She's taking the spotlight that was shined on now-former Senator Loeffler during the Senate runoff campaign, and continue Trump's work in disavowing election results and denigrating the election officials in Georgia as revenge for Georgia going blue, all in the name of getting that almighty $$$$ from The Don.

All this to say, it serves a nice distraction from the other Republican Congress members who may be complicit in the insurrection.
