Ok. Let's suppose he gets indicted and goes to trial. How are you ever going to get a jury that would convict? You have 12 people on a jury. All it takes is one Trump supporter on that jury to vote not guilty. No matter what evidence is presented, a Trump supporter would just call it a hoax. I seriously doubt Trump could be convicted on anything in this country.

This is also a reason Merrick Garland is sitting back and not doing much of anything about the twice impeached, one term former occupant. If Garland did anything at all, even give him a speeding ticket, Republicans would lose their mind.

He would have to be man enough to drive his own vehicle to get a speeding ticket
For some reason, I have the idea that he's a lousy driver. He seems to have a very short attention span. At first I was thinking he'd be very aggressive but on second thought, I don't think so. He's always had others do his dirty work for him. Deep down, I think he's a wimp.

Of course. How many megarich guys get into flying planes, racing cars, sailing, 'extreme' vacations - rafting, mountain climbing, safari, etc. He doesn't do any of that stuff because it all involves real work.

This:

Prosecutors have recently interviewed employees of President Trump’s lender and insurance brokerage, in the latest indication that he still faces
the potential threat of criminal charges once he leaves office.
State prosecutors in Manhattan have interviewed several employees of President Trump’s bank and insurance broker in recent weeks, according to
people with knowledge of the matter, significantly escalating an investigation into the president that he is powerless to stop.

Tax evasion or fraud are likely, but as its a federal investigation, what they are actually looking into is confidential. The complication is the feds are also investigating his lawyer (Giuliani) and chief accountant (Weisselberg).

...and there is likely zero chance that Trump will miss an opportunity to blame anything and everything on them - which could also be true of course. Once your usefulness is exhausted, being thrown under the bus is a certainty with this man.

certainly, he will try to throw them under the bus....no doubt.
but this time he is taking a massive risk by doing so. its one thing to piss on people who dont know that much (even Cohen isnt as important as he thinks he is and Giuliani is a has been shell) but trying to throw Weisselberg under? he seems to be someone who has been around long enough to have the access and real inside knowledge....in other words, he knows where ALL the bodies are buried.

could get interesting

It's not only the Feds but in GA he is under investigation for voter fraud, a State charge. In NY, the NY Attorney General is investigating Trump for Bank and Insurance Fraud and of course the SDNY, Feds are are after him. So, I am just waiting to see how long it is before he starts throwing his family under the bus to protect himself. According to Michael Cohen, it won't be too long!

I believe it is customary in the USA to continue referrring to retired presidents and vice-presidents by their title.

People still say president Clinton, president Bush, president Obama and indeed president Trump.

Most former presidents do not really stand on the protocol (is it protocol, or just custom?), but then Trump was not quite like former presidents. :)

But they mustn't worry - they can still get their anger fix from his blo... oh wait, he shut down his blog after 29 days due to measly readership -

I think it is tradition more than anything. But it also has to do with respect. I still do not think GWB was that great but I can respect him. The twice impeached, one term golfer in chief must earn respect to gain respect. Since he trashed so many Americans, he has little respect from many of us.

Jeff McConney a Senior VP and Comptroller of The Trump Organization has given testimony in the Manhattan DA's Special Grand Jury. He apparently has a great deal of knowledge of the finances of the Organization. He had critical knowledge of the money handling of the dirty scam that was Trump University for example, which was closed down and a large cash settlement paid to the NYAG to go to victims in late 2016. Hopefully he will squeal like a pig abut the durty finances of the Trump Org. to keep himself out of jail. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... d=msedgdhp

Here is a fairly well written piece from "The Guardian" on the multiple criminal and civil cases Trump is facing.
