Ordinarily your point would be valid. But the Representative in question does nothing but lob provocative statements intended at grabbing headlines, which if you know anything about her is not new behavior for her, she's just now doing it at the Congressional level. She had to go shopping for a district where she ran unopposed and has no substantive objectives. She's the dog doesn't know what to do with the truck once she's caught it. And she otherwise should just be ignored.

There is no "conversation" to engage in with QANON, or anti vaxxers, or flat earthers, or CRT hystericals, or holocaust deniers. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it is valid or needs to be heard. There plenty of issues that simply do not have "both sides", no matter how much you want there to be. Facts don't care about your feelings, remember?

Back in the old days I was an Eisenhower Republican. There are about no right wing Republican party members who would support or endorse him anymore. Moderate or progressive Republicans are being kicked out of the party, I think 'primaried' is what it is being called. What's left is fairly indistinguishable from neo-fascists. They even use nazi symbols much of the time.
