To me it relates to the "mental illness" we are experiencing in many places where people are unable to accept reality and instead make up imagined "issues" and then attack (and kill) people based on that.
The vaccine was made into some kind of villainous thing to many people and they did not accept the reality that it was not. The same goes for the election and the "CRT" silliness. And silliness is not probably appropriate as it has lead to violent confrontations.

That's exactly what it is - classic misdirection. People are in their echo cocoons and are completely unwilling to budge from a universe of alternative facts that are at best fantasy, and at worse someone's sick attempt to permanently poison American civil discourse.
