On Sunday, Kodiak, Alaska reached temperatures of 67 degrees Farenheit, which is the warmest that Alaska has ever recorded in December. This was warmer than Southern California the same day, when temperatures only reached 59 degrees Farenheit in Los Angeles and 65 degrees in Palm Springs and San Diego. All of this comes despite the fact that Alaska has very little sunlight in late December. At the same time, record snowfall was hitting the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. Amazing how one place in Alaska could be warmer than Southern California and not surprised if this has some connection to climate change
