Taco Bell is selling a $10 monthly taco subscription

Sat Jan 08, 2022 2:29 am

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/01/06/busi ... index.html

Basically you get one taco a day for 30 days. But is it really worth driving out all the way to a Taco Bell for just one taco ? Thus seems like a gimmick to get you in the store more often so you'll be tempted to order additional food items to accompany your taco. Not to mention that eating 30 tacos a month can't be good for you.

Eating only 30 tacos per month is a tragedy.

Given the 'Ground Beef' is the worst thing you can get there seems like an easy pass. Home made ground beef for tacos is just much better.

I remember some vending machines in Japanese train stations tried such subscription plan? Its merit compare to this was they applies to vending machine in many key train stations, but the subscription was much higher frequency, almost once every working days, which I think isn't something good for one's health

If they were actual real tacos, I would do it. What Taco Bell serves are not tacos. I do like their steak breakfast burritos.

I've never eaten a taco. No Taco Bell here. Although there are now some fast food places offering such things, including one next to my cinema. I've always wondered how you're supposed to eat them, especially the crunchy ones, don't you end up with bits everywhere ?

Maybe if they bring the Chocotaco back and allow it to sub as a real taco. Or is it back? Haven't been to Taco Bell in 4 or 5 years.

We need to ban this types of promotions. The way Taco bell sources its beef is a huge contributor to human caused climate change.

They have vegetarian/vegan options with beans (black bean or refried) or potatoes. The kiosks at my new Taco Bell near me are pretty slick and easy to use, and I can just slide Vegetarian on the first screen and get an entire vegetarian menu. Likely reduces the experience of requesting a substitute of beef for beans and still get beef like how it used to be. Granted, the sauce packets have preservatives and ingredients to avoid, and there is better quality mexican out there, but for fast food, it isn't so bad.

Taco Bell absolutely SUCKS! It is nothing more than inauthentic Tex-Mex garbage and an Americanized bastardization of authentic Mexican cuisine. I refuse to eat at Taco Bell anymore. There is an authentic Mexican restaurant that is a 2 hour round-trip drive from my house where I can get freshly prepared tacos al pastor (pork with pineapple) that are the real deal and absolutely incredible. This place's tacos cost $2.20 / taco and are well worth the money. I get eight!

I'd rather pay $66 per month for 30 authentic tacos plus Mexican-style ceviche (yes, I know it's originally Peruvian, but the Mexican version is wonderful, too) than $10 for inauthentic Americanized trash. I'm ok with paying more for better food.

Tex-Mex is like American Chinese cuisine: it's inauthentic, fake and provides a false perception to authentic cuisine. I'm extremely anti-Taco Bell. Let's eat the real stuff!

For one taco a day? If say you could pool them and get like 5 a week or something, but its not worth the hassle to get a $1 product.
