NO! One of the unique and interesting men ever! I will never forget his fight with Gary Busey. Legend.

I watched some of his more recent live performances, he didn't look too well.

Very sad to hear, one of my favourite artists and truly a Legend like no other.

A guy with an almost operatic voice and an actor in musicals from the bible belt of Texas meets up with a Jewish New Yorker song writer and with others creates one of the biggest rock albums of all time, Bat Out of Hell. It came out in late 1977 just as the disco boom with the movie Saturday Night Fever came out. It was a lifeline for us who were rock music fans. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat_Out_of_Hell The album was loaded with great songs including the opus, 'Paradise by the Dashboard Lights' about a guy trying to get laid and with the 'play by play' of his attempts. The musicianship with top notch, the songs on it original and different, with a big, almost over the top style, with humorous references, a great fun album. The man known as Meat Loaf was a unique artist, had an uneven career post-Bat Out of Hell but still will be one of the most memorable music artist of his time.

Almost exactly 9 months after Meat Loaf's long time producer Jim Steinman died (19 April 2021).

I've seen him in 2016 here in YXU. He looked quite bad. Much worse than during the 2007 concert tour.

He wasn't looking as rough as Gary Moore when he went, but yeah, ML wasn't exactly taking care of himself.

TMZ is reporting that he apparently died of Covid.
It is unknown if he was vaccinated but it is doubtful since he seemed to have been an antivaxxer...

Our sources say Meat Loaf has been outspoken about COVID, railing with folks in Australia recently about vaccine mandates. We do not know if he was vaccinated.

Thats very sad and totally avoidable if thats true .

I saw this 12 minute version of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" on the big screen at a Midnight Movie thing where they showed various artists.

He wasn’t young and also didn’t seem to be the fittest person around, so if he wasn’t vaccinated then it’s pretty risky at the moment.

He was an incredible singer and part of the sound of my youth, as he was one of my mom's favorite singers. Too bad he went insane and let himself a die a completely preventable death.

It's a really horrible way to die. I'm in the Moderna phase 3 trial, so I have been vaccinated for almost a year and a half. I was discussing with my mother based on the descriptions of what it was like to be hospitalized and dying with COVID, that even if I were in a hospice I would want to be vaccinated against it.

I've heard the death to be something similar to a cross between mesothelioma and classic pneumonia. Suffocation combined with organ failure due to lack of oxygen. One of my fittest friends died from COVID after he "didn't get around" to getting vaccinated. Totally senseless, given that vaccination is so effective.
