RIP James Caan. I thought he played the role of the villain very well in Eraser.

Always felt like he was genuinely a scary guy, even in real life. A tough guy who knew how to act, not the other way around. RIP

Loved him most in 'Misery' as the very unlucky Paul Sheldon. I thought that role allowed him to show some things far outside of type, like his earlier work in Brian's Song.

It was always a point of pride at my Hebrew school that Jimmy Caan, onscreen Italian tough guy, was just a Jewish kid from Queens.
