Not only that but teens seem to think they all can make money from it. Obviously most don't understand supply/demand, but this app's popularity with that age group doesn't help.

Ahhh the words of a typical self entitled Gen X/Boomer…

Millennials are actually aged 26-41 at the moment.
It’s Gen Z who are supposedly TikTok obsessed, and they don’t think TikTok will provide them a regular salary. As far as I can see they’re still enrolling in university and higher education to get skills and qualifications for “regular” jobs. And if there are some people who can make a living from social media, good on them. It shows ingenuity and dedication, and it’s not just limited to Gen Z.
Your post just seems like young people bashing tbh.

I am Gen X, it seems Millenials, Z and Alpha are all tik tok obsessed. Again thinking it will bring them a living. Only people I am bashing are those that refuse to get a job and go to work on a regular basis.

I was hoping the pandemic would be that wake up call, but nope, they're still on the same old BS.

I even dislike forums quite a bit (I post very little here).
You can lay off on the millennials though, I’ve employed a number of them who were extremely hard working, going far and beyond what you’d expect to get an impossible deadline met.
Even among your generation there are those who are lazy and though they have a real job, they spend all day bludging, socialising (oops, I mean networking) or doing coffee runs. I have no time for that.

Only the choice few who catch on and get a huge following do. Most don't make enough to matter.

You are doing exactly as I expected.
Instead of trying to "get a job and go to work on a regular basis," us Millenials and GenZ folks actually want to do fulfilling jobs and make our dreams come true. Unlike your generation, we don't honor the tradition working some mundane job with a toxic work culture that drains us every day. We want to enjoy what we are doing. We are not afraid to break the outdated norms. At the workplace, we value good work-life balance, mental and physical health, and a salary that gives us a chance to cover the insane living costs. No more grueling labor the pays a trash wage with poor working conditions and zero PTO.
We actually worked our butts off in school and college, doing AP class after AP class, pulling all nighters, and many of us even worked while going to school. Now we spend years trying to pay off student loans and debt.
We deserve to have pretty darn good and fulfilling lives afterwards. And its not like we owe GenX and Boomers anything. All they gave us were pandemics, wars, conspiracy theories, violence, global warming, religious extremism etc.
GenZ and Millenials will be the ones who save our planet, bring peace to this world, and advance science among other things.
We've put up with the problems that GenX/Boomers gave us, and yet your generation somehow has the audacity to say that we are the spoiled and lazy ones?
Sorry, but y'all are just making fools out of yourselves.
