Trump will be reinstated by Meta on Facebook and Instagram, after serving his two year suspension. But will be subject to their new guardrail policies:
1. If he again engages in rule violations, the content will remain visible on his account, but the ability to share and disseminate the offending posts will be removed.
2. If he again engages in behavior that incites or encourages public violence, his account will be immediately suspended again, for a period of up to one year, depending on the severity of the offense.
Trump had quietly petitioned Meta to allow him back, after the announcement of his 2024 campaign. But he did so politely as a request, rather than via public criticism or lawsuit, as he has in the past.
He has not yet used Twitter or any other social media besides Truth Social. But it's widely expected that he will, as part of his campaign.

Judging by what has been on his TS feed, he’s more nuts than four years ago. He has transitioned from wild takes on policy to just an endless grievance parade.

Meh...1) there is never accountability for old, rich, white men, and 2) Facebook is mostly old right wingers anyway. It's like having him scream into an AOL chatroom.

This - I've seen so much content over the past few years that I've reported, and it's never been struck. It's become a clickbait comment echo chamber, the more ignorant comments you can make about a topic the better. Hate speech abounds, racism, homophobia, sexism, you name it.
The amazing thing is Frances Haugen was just on Real Time, and said that Facebook has spent the vast majority of its safety and content budget on the English speaking countries, so international Facebook is 10x scarier and sketchier, especially in India/SE Asia/Africa/etc. Nobody is moderating it. Not a surprise, then, that Facebook could basically be indicted as a co-conspirator in the Rohingya genocide if the ICC takes it up. They did virtually nothing to prevent the spread of ethnically violent rhetoric on their platform for years.

According to Facebook, these are the new rules, but Trump being a prior offender, the more advanced penalties would apply.
