Wildfires are currently raging across Alberta and this has led to concerns related to air quality. Relief with rain and cooler temperatures might be on the way though. This is a very significant event for Alberta right now.

Those fires are no joke. The smoke has swept all across the US and here in Denver we had the 3rd worst air quality in the world as a result. It's identical to the smoke situation we had in 2020 and that's when we had it in our backyard. I hope the fires are quelled soon for our friends to the north.

We get a lot of smoke in Metro Vancouver from fires in WA, OR and CA during the summer months. Amazing how far smoke can travel.

There are now trackers available for smoke, they can even differentiate between smoke passing overhead, and smoke that will descend to land level.
