Scheduled Downtime June 23-24

Tue Jun 22, 2004 1:57 am

Hi all,

Airliners.net will not be on-line from 23:00 (11:00pm) CET on June 23 and for about 12 hours.

The reason is power audits in the building hosting our servers, as well as nearby buildings. The network will be taken off-line as well, so we can not give an exact time when our servers will be reachable again.

Regards,
Henrik

By the way, any photographers who are nasty to us Screeners in the next day or so will have their pictures screened just before 23:00 CET on the 23rd, thereby guaranteeing that they won't get many hits! Big grin

Yes, this system will be down for while and will bring them back on Thursday or Friday. Will find out later into the this week. I would not read with the a.net for while and please should try to make be patience with Henks or Johan from a.net. I won't not have anything with kind of those problems.

As opposed to cussing at this website as I have done many times before when something does not work, weather it be related to my computer's internet connection or if the servers were temporarily shut down at A.net This truly is good to know. Thank-you so much for the head's up!

If you open your eyes a bit more you can maybe find answers (that are already stated) quicker.

Now should I go to your job and do your work for you or can you handle that by yourself???

Hi again,

I see some questions about time, so I thought to answer those.
The duration is somewhere around 7-15 hours. Can not tell exactly.

Here is a list with some random countries/cities.
The servers will be taken down latest:

2pm, Los Angeles, June 23
5pm, New York, June 23
6pm, Sao Paulo, June 23
10pm, London, June 23
11pm, Server room, Sweden, Germany, South Africa, June 23
1am, Moscow, June 24
3am, Kathmandu, June 24
6am, Tokyo, June, 24
7am, Sydney, June 24
11am, Honolulu, June 24

Here is a site for those of you hitting the bottle in depression:
http://www.alcoholscreening.org/

We will do our best in getting the site back up and running as fast as possible.

Henrik

I can see an increase in liquor store robberies and general looting as this planet goes dark. No longer can we rely on the eternal dim luminescence emanating from the Airliners.net homepage as it welcomes us.

oh wait, only 12-15 hours. What's your favorite porn site?

Important information!

Change the dates to 22/23 of June instead of 23/24.

June 22/23 our servers will be off-line, and 23/24 the nearby buildings will be powered off. In worst case we will be off-line both days. First night because of no power to our servers, second night because of network (internet connection) not having power.

Hello all,

The first part of this is now done and the servers are all up and running beautifully after about six hours downtime.

There will probably be further downtime though as the power is cut to other parts of the building (hosting network equipment needed for you guys to be able to access Airliners.net).

Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Johan
