When a visitor rates a photo by clicking on one of the stars below a photo (like on this page: https://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1067425) they have the option to leave a comment explaining why they rate the photo as they do. Such comments are screened by Airliners.net crew before they are added to the photo page.
So far, people from other parts of the crew have been screening comments when time permits. But as the number of comments submitted are increasing, we are looking for two or three people dedicated on screening photo comments.
- You should have a lot of free time on your hands. Screening the comments is not difficult as long as you keep at it daily. If you leave it for a few days, the queue of waiting comments will be enormous. It is therefore important that you have the time to go through the comments daily. I estimate that about 200-400 new comments are added daily.
- You should be thorough. Vulgar and obscene comments are submitted daily and it is your job to see to that such comments never reach the site.
- There are certain rules guiding what comments should be allowed and what shouldn't. You should be able to abide to those rules in your screening.
- We expect you to be in it for the long run. Training new comment screeners will be a lot of work and if you can show me that you intend to stay for long, you'll have a definite advantage.
That's it! In return for your work you will get a crew account on Airliners.net (which is like a free First Class account with some additional perks).
Screening comments can be a great deal of fun. It's often very interesting to read through what people have to say about the photos. It can be overwhelming if the comment queue is very long though and that is why it is important to screen comments daily.
If you're interested, contact me at [email protected] and include detailed info on how you will cope with the four requirements above.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
