It looks really nice, but it really, really bogs down my internet performance when I load the page. I basically have to sit and wait until the snow starts, because if I try anything before that it basically freezes up (no pun intended). Pretty looking, but pretty annoying from my perspective.

The homepage keeps freezing and it takes ages for it to do anything from the homepage. Sad

It's like West Texas snow.....you have to wait forever for it to start and it slows everything down to a crawl!

What happened to the "old snow"? I know, there's one in every crowd that would bitch if you hung them with a new rope, but the snow in previous years had bigger flakes and didn't ding performance.

You can turn off the snow by using the link at the bottom of the frontpage ("Turn snow off"). It uses cookies so you need cookies enabled in your browser for it to work.

If you change your mind later on you can turn the snow on again by using the same link "Turn snow on".
