"Waiting For Player.vindicosuite.com"...

Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:11 am

A.net's home page has been loading at an excruciatingly slow pace since yesterday on my computer (XP/FF). I would get a blank page with "waiting for player.vindicosuite.com" in the statusbar for about half a minute before anything would appear. So I blocked vindicosuite with AdBlock and the problem was gone, without changing anything in the home page's layout.

As far as I can tell, vindicosuite doesn't add anything to a.net's design (not even ads) while slowing it down considerably. Thanks for looking into this.

Same here. Quite annoying. Please have a look at that.

Last night I had the same problem. It took me about 30 minutes to open the page (ok, I don't have broadband in my village, but have to rely on old fashioned ISDN).
Please fix.

I've noted the problem for our records and forwarded it to Monique for tracking; if we can track down the ad that is the source of the problem, we can ask to have it removed.

If anybody could provide us with any more information, such as a screenshot or other information about when it was occurring, it would be greatly appreciated - please get in contact with us at [email protected].

Thanks,
