Greetings,

What's happenned to Johan Lundgren? Is he still a member on the site, part of management?

Personal curiosity only.

Kind regards,

I imagine he's still on vacation. Deserves one after running this website for forever.
I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.

Well in all fairness, I think he will still works. I just have to ask if he would create another website or work for another company.

LOL. That would just be great. Can imagine that many of us would go to his new website, if it is about aviation.

You know, that would be really really funny! If he just started the same thing in... orange, whatever... with a new name... Then people would find out about it, all migrate to the new site, and then he'd sell it again... ad infinitum!

If the site purchaser's lawyers are worth their salt I'm sure they put a non-compete clause in the purchase contract.

As do I.

I do, however, suspect that he does regret seeing his former community get disrespected by the new owners of the site.

His laughter must have resonated throughout the local Handelsbanken branch, echoed all the way out to the ridges overlooking PCH and the impressive coastline near Malibu, and refused to wane for months until his buddy Henrik suddenly realized............

I hope he is doing fine.

There is no reason for him to concern himself with Anet any more - he sold the site (I hope he got a good price) and it is no longer his.

After all, if I sell my prized sports car to another person, I have no reason to worry about what happens to it - it is no longer mine. Whether it gets lovingly restored or driven off a cliff is none of my business.

There's however a big difference, Viv; you wouldn't have spent years of personal effort to build the sports car and if you got enough money you can buy a new one tomorrow.
I'd think Johan makes regular visits to the site...

And Johan would have a lot of feelings towards this site... it was a community that he built and one that he is really respected in. You can't help but wonder how it is doing. I think he drops by once in a while, but thats about it.

It was a shame to see him go. I've spoken to him a few times and he was always helpful and took the time to respond to me, which I appreciated.

I'm sure he views the forum from time to time. However, I doubt he uses his old account much, given that it has the name "Administrator". It could quite easily mislead users. I'm guessing that's why he doesn't use it.

Indeed it was.

Under his stewardship the site was functional (most features worked most of the time), convivial, and fun.

Well, sources indicate that the last thing Johan saw was one of the DM staffers demonstrating his new "camera":

These sources also indicate that he is now goes by the name of Kevin and works as the Postmaster for a small town in Massachusetts.

I'm not exactly a fan of the present management. But I have to say I recall reading a lot of complaints about the site being run dictatorially in Johan's time.

Only slightly wrong, he actually bought the entirety of Scandinavia!
