I'm trying to find things I like about the new site, and I think these couple things are tweaking me most at the moment.
The "Top of the last 24 hours" module currently is spanning two columns right below the banner. I think it would go a long way to bring cohesiveness back to the page if the 3 column design was left in tact without this module spanning across two columns. Without scrolling, there's no good indication or "anchor" to figure out how the site is designed at first look.
I also wish the "Airliners.net"/Search banner had some sort of blend or gradient to match the default blue background. It looks like it's from a mismatching color template and I think that it's kinda turning me off the rest of the design elements.
I know you guys are working hard and aren't getting a lot of credit, but I hope these comments are well-received. Thanks!
