It is so ugly around here

Well I think it's looking quite nice actually, I like the new design and the improvements we've seen.

C'mon, you know what he's referring to; the mood. This place is dying. It's obvious from the lack of posting, half of which is people saying exactly what the majority of the 6 most popular threads in Site-Related are full of. Things aren't good, and they aren't going to get better. They've culled out the majority of the most active posters, and finally the members of the site (who are still around) that contribute the most have realized it, and are slowing deserting the ship. Who gives a crap about cosmetics when it's the guts that have the issues. Change crap that doesn't need to be changed when there are STILL bugs on the forum, and STILL personnel issues going on. What a waste of time. I haven't gone off and gotten myself deleted, nor have I self-deleted, because I don't see the point...yet. I'm still kinda holding on to some glimmer that things may go back to some sort of state that they once were. Have I moved to posting somewhere else? You can take a WAG at that one, but you already know the answer. Don't answer a serious complaint with untimely sarcasm/humor. That's the kind of attitude that got A.net to the place it's at right now.

I wonder how popular I would be if I extolled the virtues of the right wing of politics combined with advocation for gun ownership, military action against 'rogue states' and posted a tirade against Muslims.

Agreed, but that would be just half the pleasure. Then there's that unparalleled sense of belonging to a group of like-minded fanatics, where you would all agree with each other, tell each other how great you are, and completely ignore the fact that there is more than one side to a given issue.

Actually, you're confusing this thread with another thread, as there's only been two threads in this forum archived by the Moderators in the last several days.

KROC wasn't popular with everyone. I won't get into specifics - let's just say I did not get along with him. Yet I, too, am disappointed with this decision for my own reasons.

It looks like they started charging him for his First Class membership again and he either chose not to pay or forgot because he hadn't paid in so long. Quite frankly, I think his 4 years of free moderation for the site should allow for a free, lifetime FC membership.

I thought the custom was for outgoing crew to be given 1 yr FC membership on departure.
Where are all of my respected members going?

Johan did show a bit of class and do me that honor/favor when I left the crew (that and a favor or two for my daughter for which we am forever his fan for)

I believe that is the case. Then again, I don't see why KROC wasn't downgraded to his original member status even if they didn't give him the year of FC.
