Hello all,

Just a reminder that many of the error messages you receive can be resolved by deleting the Airliners.net cookie from your browser.

If this does not solve the problem please contact the support crew at [email protected] and always remember to include your browser and operating system in your email.

Trying to reply to a thread and post a link, I get a message "not to post in anger". Thing is, there is no way that my message can be construed to be in anger. This is the second time its happened, and the other time also happened while I was trying to post a link (and no "anger" either). This first time happened probably less than a week ago.

Just had the same problem.

For those who were unable to post a rating or a comment on a photo using Chrome or FF4 we have released a fix for this and you should be able to now rate and comment on the photo.

There was a bug where in the profile of new members and also when viewing the user list if a member had not posted their profile displayed that their last post was 201 Decades ago or 2011 years 4 months ago (November 30, -0001), or in some cases 40 years.

This too has been fixed.

Thanks and regards

The "__ unread: Jump to first" feature at the top of a thread seems to be working only sporadically. Sometimes when I click on it, it takes me to the proper post, other times nothing happens. It may be a browser issue (I'm using Firefox), but I wanted to let you know, in case other users are having this issue.

Thanks,

We are aware that there has been some issues with the site recently. However, these were only temporary, and disruption should now be minimised. Apologies for any issues this may have caused.

Over the last few days, I've been having problems, on and off, with the home page (using Firefox 4).

Instead of seeing the normal arrangement of top photos, forum posts, etc., the page loads briefly, then collapses to just a drop-down search menu in the upper-left corner.

Looks as if there is a current problem with 'Links to your photos on Airliners.net!'

Suddenly I seem to be getting more links than I would normally expect and the thumbnails do not match the search criteria shown on the links!

Lately, when I'm signed into a.net, I can't see the 'starred' topics that I have contributed to- until I contribute to a thread. Suddenly (until I refresh the screen) all the stars come out to shine.

Also, while I'm writing a post- and I am famous for my long posts- when I preview the post and then return to edit it, then preview the post once again, the sign-in box at the top is missing (I'll replicate this using this post). So I click preview, and then the sign-in boxes appear and I have to fill them in before it provides me with a preview.

To get this picture, I've "previewed the post" and then chose to continue editing.... this is what you see....

(Funny, actually, I'm not having this problem posting here to 'Site Related' but I do to Non-Av and Civil Aviation

Then, after I have posted something, I don't have the ability to edit my post at all.

I get that too but it seems to be just an automated page- which I used to get long before Demand took the site over. But then sending you to a post error page is unusual- I've never had that happen to me before.

Common hangs on "cdn" and sometimes ad links. The 'cdn' is followed all too often by a white screen of death that moves various offerings around more or less at random. Seems to be getting worse.

I get a cdn icon at the lower left which moves to lower right if you try to "mouse" it!

Hi - We have released a fix for this and search results should now be up to date.

Additionally, the video displayed on the homepage was always the most popular which meant the same video was always displayed. We have now changed that to the top 10 so each time you visit the homepage a different video will now display.

"Operation Aborted" message when using Explore.
Will not load at all when using Firefox IF I am logged in.
If I'm not logged in, the site runs smoothly in Firefox.
Once I log in, the site is very slow and often times crashes.

***I apologize if this has been mentioned before but considering how slow the page loads when logged in, the search feature is of no use and/or could take all day finding to see IF this question has been brought up.***

Hello. One Small Issue here. Whenever i try to come to Site Related forums, it automatically logs me off ( i have auto-login enabled) and i again have to login every time to see this forum. This does not happen in civ-aviation and other forums. I automatically somehow get logged out and again i have to login. Nothing tedious, but just a small bug i guess.
Thanks!

Ok, can't post in this thread: S7's One World Livery Disappointing (by Owleye May 28 2011 in Civil Aviation)

I try to link to a picture in the database, of an IB plane and what I get is a link that says "Never post in anger. This forum is only as good as you make it. Take the high road and others will follow." When you click on it, it goes to a "this page can not be found" link here on a.net. I don't have the slightest idea what's going on.

---
OK, now I'm angry. I put the link of the bloody picture up there, it cut out all the text after it. Once I moved the link to the bottom as to not cut any text, It went back to saying "Never post in anger..." when I hit post, it said this page can not be found.

--
I realized there was some odd text around the URL- got it again, and did the same thing. I can't post the link of a picture in the DB, apparently. This needs an urgent fix.

The "cdn.www.airliners.net" pause is back in spades as is the dreaded white screen of death. It was a bit irritating on other forums but developed to crisis point with this forum and then got even worse with this thread. Ended up by backing out completely and at the second time of trying from scratch, it worked.

Report The Bugs Here (Part 1)

Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:21 pm

I'm having serious problems navigating the site today. It's almost unusable. When I click to change pages, or open new forum threads etc., the green progress bar at the bottom of the screen moves quickly about 95% to the end but then freezes and the message in the status bar on the left side reads: "Waiting for...followed by one of many ad site URLs". A few I have noted are:

ad.thewheelof.com
ad.yieldmanager.com
ad.doubleclick.net
ib.adnxs.com
dm.demdex.net
ad.amgdgt.com
a.tribalfusion.com

Sometimes have to wait a full minute before the page opens. Can sometimes speed it up by clicking "Refresh" 2 or 3 times.

At other times, after waiting 30 seconds or so I get a while screen (using Firefox 3.6) with an error message reading:

"The connection has timed out. The server at www.airliners.net is taking too long to respond....etc."

Same problem with IE8 so it doesn't seem browser-related. I'm not having any problems navigating other sites.

Hi there

I'm curious if this post is gonna make it... I was trying to add my comments to a thread in the civil av forum. Everything worked fine to "preview the post", but clicking "Post Message!", a box appeared saying my username and password were incorrect. Now, I even changed my password successfully the other day (I was able to do it, so it must have been correct) but still face the same old problem. Any suggestions, hints, help is appreciated!
Good day to you sir! Please turn left, your seat is in the first row.
