Most Over Discussed Anet Topics-Av,Non-Av,Mil,Site

Mon Oct 31, 2011 6:07 pm

After reading a few threads and experiencing total deja vu with many of them, I wondered what the most of totally over-discussed, kicking-dead-horse, tired, rehashed topics are?

I figure it can cover all the forums.

To begin the process I will offer:

Cell phones on aircraft
Yoke vs Sidestick
Apple vs.... pretty much anyone nowadays (Android, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung...)
Barack Hussein Obama
The Tea Party
US cars vs European cars vs the rest of the world
The A400M

Who and what else belongs in the pantheon? Feel free to add all the side version of the topics that arise.

This thread is all in good fun.

1) 757, will it be re-launched, replaced, production restarted etc etc

2) Will Concorde fly again, be replaced etc etc.

- New Frontier/Republic (They have reached #28 now...)
- Why doesn't Boeing make a 757NEO?

And we also have these endless "Will 'XXX US airline' merge with 'YY US airline'? threads;

* Will AA and US merge?
* Will AS be bought by XX US airline?
* When will AA and B6 merge?

And so on...

Really, that would be a shame when we are nearly just 50 away from 1000. It's the first word game thread I have done and have found it quite a laugh doing it.   Oh well if the mods stop it before 1000, then will have to get back to nearly a 1000 posts in word game #308.

"Will CX order the A380?"
"Will QF order the 777?"

I think there is as much chance of the former happening as there is of the latter.

Also, anything to do with Boeing re-opening the 757 line. The 757 is dead. Move on.

A380 is ugly, therefore-->

B747 is and always will be Queen of the Skies.

Airbus could create a plane of 3 stories, impressive economics and a design that would make Michelangelo´s mouth water: for some users it´s "Boeing, or I ain´t going".

I repeat:

A380 is ugly, therefore-->

B747 is and always will be Queen of the Skies.

I repeat:

A380 is ugly, therefore-->

B747 is and always will be Queen of the Skies.

Etc Etc

In Tech/Ops: How Can a Right-handed Pilot Fly a FBW Airbus from the Left Seat?

The answer's quite obvious if you think about how right-handed pilots fly other types from the left seat.

As of 08:40 Pacific Standard Time on Friday, November 8, of the top 20 threads on the Non-Aviation forum, 14 of them were on U.S. politics. I would consider that over-discussed, and I am a U.S. citizen.
