Post removal

Tue Nov 20, 2018 6:50 pm

This morning I posted a list if the founding members of the project for a New American Century in response to another poster wrongly stating the impetus for Iraq war II. The post was taken down.

The post was not in violation of any site rules. Is there a moderator here that want's to debate the causes of that war? Or is there a moderator here who wants to suppress information about the cause of that national disaster?

Your post was indeed in violation of site rules.

5a. Copyrights
1. Copyrighted material from other websites, newspapers, magazines and journals are not allowed to be posted.
2. You are permitted to post a summary of an article, or quote portions of an article (fair use extract) and a link to the full story, but not the full article. Violations of this policy will result in the deletion of your post or thread.
3. Copying and pasting large portions of an article into the thread, even if a source link is provided, will lead to removal of the post or thread.

I don't know why you think we'd choose that post in particular to suddenly decide to suppress information — you express your opinions regularly on this site, and we don't arbitrarily delete those.

In the future, you should contact us via email at moderators@airliners.net to ask about a deletion, as required by forum rules. We would prefer not to do this in a public setting. Furthermore, please don't automatically assume that we're the ones in the wrong.
