Politics Forum

Does anyone know when the new Politics forum will be up and running, because I saw somewhere that it is in development.

There will be no politics forum despite the numerous requests for it over the past several years. Recent, current, and future efforts on this website concentrate 100% on boosting ad revenue.

Makes no sense to discuss politics on an aviation website anyway.

I think the non-aviation forum is perfectly suitable. I wouldn't want to be one of the mods monitoring content on a political forum when you just signed up to talk about planes. If people want to club each other they can go to Twitter.

Do you feel the entire Non-Aviation forum should be closed? Why discuss anything else on an aviation website?

Exactly, there are plenty of other websites/forums/social media to discuss Non-Aviation stuff. A.net should stick to their core business IMO, which is aviation and photography. Anything else is of no value to this website (which is why I have never even looked at the non-aviation forum).

I'm eager to see in this politics forum (if it ever comes about) if the moderators are trigger happy with the "delete post" button just as they are in the non-aviation forum.

It depends on which side of the political spectrum the post "leans" toward that determines if the thread is locked or deleted.

Nonsense. Threads from all sides of the political spectrum are locked/deleted all the time. It's the behavior of the participants that matters, not the content. Moderators on this site come in all political stripes. There isn't a conspiracy to silence certain points of view.

Is there actually a politics forum in development.

We've requested it several times. Unfortunately that's all we can do is make the request.
