A flight training forum/learning center

Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:24 pm

I often (as do others) ask questions regarding schools or training. I feel like questions such as these seem out of place in civil aviation, and seems a little bit too “untechnical” in tech ops.

I realize other forums exist, but I rarely visit them and this place is one of my “internet homes” so it doesn’t feel unusual to post here than some random place.

Might be beneficial to consolidate such posts under one forum where one could ask stuff regarding schools, regulations, tips on landings/maneuvers, etc. Thoughts?

I've actually suggested this in the past, but I think the issue is that these types of discussions don't come up often enough to warrant its own forum. Maybe we could create a dedicated thread in Tech/Ops to at least consolidate the discussion in the same place.

Yesss that could definitely work, or a group of threads. Unfortunately I feel like (as you said) since they don't come up very often, they would get washed away under pages of other topics unless pinned.
