I have seen people on this forum circumvent to rule about providing links to back up their opinions when what they are doing is not showing the who picture but just choosing the facts that support their own opinion some links even 4 to 5 years old. I understand and respect the reasoning behind needing to back up your comment otherwise the forum would be a free for all. But as I say there are some very clever people here that just post facts and links to the things they want people to believe while not sharing data from all sides. To me that is nothing more than an opinion being backed up by some random facts to back it up. Just wanted to bring that to the moderators attention as they are no better those those who state opinions without facts.

Thanks for the feedback, may I suggest the next time you are coming across such a post to write a mail to moderators@airliners.net explaing your view or to use the reporting function?

I’m shocked someone advancing an idea would leave out links that didn’t support their idea. Sounds like my college debate team.

When discussing historical events - which seems perhaps to be the focus of the OP - there may not be links. The forum would be a sad place indeed if we could not draw on the deep historical knowledge of many members.
