As we approach the start of a new year, can threads be segmented consistently?

Mon Nov 22, 2021 1:58 pm

I am petitioning the moderators of the commercial aviation board to segment the mega-threads for the four major airlines into three topics: network/routes, equipment, and other. As someone who is more interested in network and route news, I have no patience for wading through multiple posts of how aircraft registered NXXXXX is heading into the paint shop, while NYYYYY is undergoing heavy maintenance in the Philippines. And there's no consistency in how this was implemented. For example, UA has a mega-thread as a catch-all for everything, but DL just has a network thread.

Thank you for your understanding.

I love this idea. AVLAirlineFreq's post is spot on.

Additionally, I have questioned in the past why most airlines get all of their topics pushed into mega-threads but Delta gets multiple threads.

I tried to advocate for this a few years ago about the United Thread and just given up……
