Very well structured, all information gathered, avoiding overlapping threads, double posts.
All created by moderators using the same template.
Advantage might be that all new related threads by members, that fall in the broad scope of those threads can be moved into them.
Keeping all tidy, clean under control, moderated. Limiting the number of threads.
For me it's mostly unclear what's the content of them, it seems many changing topics and they last for hundreds of posts and many months.
Maybe it also creates some distance to the forum members, when more and more topics are set up, created and combined by the moderators using this format.
I hardly ever open them, because you have to guess what's being discussed. But others might feel it's very attractive and smart and it's the way of the future!
