My understanding is that the site doesn't have anything to do with the ads displayed, so there's nothing the developers can do about it. I would suggest installing an ad blocker or using a browser that will block ads for you. I use Chrome with an ad blocker and I never see advertisements at all.
We'll take a look at this for you. Our developers are all working from home so we may require a little time to do so
