Frontier Airlines Adds Flight Frequencies (November 21, 2001)

Airline to Add Flights to Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and Salt Lake City

DENVER (Nov. 21, 2001) - Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today announced it will increase frequencies from its Denver hub to Chicago/Midway (MDW), Las Vegas (LAS), Orlando (MCO) and Salt Lake City (SLC) on Jan. 17, 2002. With the announced schedule additions, Frontier will offer three daily round-trip flights to Chicago, two to Orlando, and four each to Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. In order to accommodate the increased capacity, the airline will reinstate its remaining Boeing 737-200 that has been parked since Sept. 14.

"We are delighted to see stronger bookings for our services to our popular leisure destinations as well as increased demand to Denver’s top business centers as we head into the winter season," said President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter. "With the increased frequencies, Frontier’s schedule in January will operate at about 92 percent of our full schedule prior to the events of September 11, and we are very proud to offer travelers increased service as a result of improved consumer confidence."

Denver-based Frontier Airlines is the second largest jet service carrier at Denver International Airport, serving 25 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 29 aircraft and employing approximately 2,300 aviation professionals. In June 2001, BusinessWeek ranked Frontier 14th on its list of Hot Growth Companies and in September 2001, Fortune magazine ranked Frontier 41st on its 100 Fastest Growing Companies list. Frontier provides capacity and other data and industry comparisons on its Web site, which may be viewed at www.frontierairlines.com.

I'm a little surprised at this move by Frontier.....they'll almost be at full operations before 9/11.

Regards.

Slightly surprised that you are surprised. Several of the small frys have weathered the down turn better than the majors (Frontier, Jet Blue, and maybe AAI).

Since Reno and Austin were added after 9/11, it could be said that Frontier is operating it's full schedule - just a different schedule from pre-9/11.

I agree with you Mariner, the small frys like Frontier and JetBlue are recovering nicely from this 9/11 thing, don't forget about National Airlines though, they have a reorganization plan in the works and plan to have a fleet of about 50 aircraft by mid-2007. That's pretty good for my hometown carrier.

I wish America West came back to Midway with it's Airbuses. I heard that Delta Airlines is at Midway to compete against AirTran. All I say is AIRTRAN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AirTran is currently at pre-Sept. 11 flight levels with 324. Going up to 338 by the end of the year, and even more in the first three months next year.
