Dream Route

If you were a commercial pilot and you had your choice of any route, which one would you choose?
Now remember, long haul legs have their bad points too.
A typical pilot who flies from JFK to NRT may only get to shoot 3 to 4 approaches a month. Most of the time you're in level cruise whereas a shuttle pilot will get to shoot 3 to 4 approaches a day. Some like the action of short haul legs because of the increased time he will be manipulating the controls. Some like the long hauls because of the aircraft used and flying the ocean.
Which route would you choose.??

I'd fly Heathrow - O'Hare route. From one great airport to another.

Second choice, Heathrwo - Sydney.

Third, Heathrow - Moscow. To have a chance to visit my mother-country :).

Fourth, Heathrow - Toronto. I heard Canadian scinecry was stunning.

I would have to say DFW-SNA or SEA-SNA.
This way on one route the weather is nice but you
still get some action coming into LA and DFW airspace.
SEA-SNA would be fun because of the weather that Seattle
can dish out! I would rather shoot more approaches and FLY
the plane than long haul! Good topic!!!!

It would be fun to be an Aloha or Hawaiian pilot (if they got newer planes). Lots of action, short flights, and great scenery.

I would want to fly for British Airways and fly their 747-400s on these routes.

1. LHR-HKG

2. LHR-JFK

3. LHR-SIN

4. LHR-SYD

Go back in time and fly in the left hand seat of a PSA 727 between SFO and LAX circa 1969!

I'd fly very short haul: Kai Tak to Kai Tak, Kai Tak to Kai Tak, all
day and every day. Of course, I'd need a very secure door to the
cockpit to keep rioting passengers from throttling me and my
airline would need to be funded by someone with more money than
sense but I'D be happy!

I studied physics at university so that one day I'd be able to turn
back the clock and give Kai Tak back to the world. I'm working on
it...
