You might have to take a day off work soon. Aer Lingus isn't looking too good financially.

I still miss Wardair Canada Ltd. very much. It was indeed a very sad day in Canadian aviation hitsory when this once great, classy Charter carrier was swallowed up by PWA (actually, Max Ward sold it to them. The entire transaction took 10 minutes!).

I used to love Wardair's "English High Tea" service on their U.K - Canada routes. Served of course, on their customized Royal Doulton China service. And of course, the ever famous Wardair dessert trolley, wheeled out after dining on filet mignon. Aaaaaaaaah, what an airline.

I miss your style, Max. We will never see the likes of
you or your carrier again.

British Airways or Japan Airlines. However, I would not think twice if a certain other well know UK airline bit the dust....

Aer Lingus. Our crew was just discussing them today, we position on them a lot and I must say they are a top notch airline. Long live Aer Lingus.

NW and Continental. NW because it's my hometown powerhouse (MSP) and it has many wonderful direct flights out of here, and Continental because who else would I take for wonderful service into Newark from here?

Air Canada's death would kill air travel in Canada, so I would be upset if they ever shut down. I would also lose my frequent flyer points, which is terrible.

I also have to add AA to the list. Although it's been many years since I've flown them--about 13 years, I still have found memories of them, especially as a child.

Northwest and/or Continental.

Airline shutdown = higher ticket prices = low quality service.

Obviously I don't want anything like this to happen.

American Airlines. I've shedded a tear when the original Pan Am, Western & TWA airlines left us. But if American ever went out of business, it would just kill all love of aviation/airline industry that I have for them. Regards.

Let's see.....I cried when Braniff, PSA, AirCal, Piedmont, and Eastern died. For me, it would probably be Southwest for this reason: their type of service and fares. Just think a minute where the US airline industry would go if Southwest wasn't a part of it.

British Airways, although I'm not too happy with them right now, with them getting rid of their 747s. Also Delta, American, and Southwest.

Too bad for me, my favorite airline is dying and there is nothing anyone can do about it. That would be Swissair. What about the BA 747s though? I never heard about them getting rid of them, or are you just talking about their -100 and -200 series ones?

Fortunately (for my bank balance) BA won't die.

I'd probably take a day off if Conair/Premiair/MyTravel.com (So, they have difficulties getting the name right  Big thumbs up) went down, 'coz I've never had a bad trip with them, and their crew have always been top-notch.
However, if SAS went down, I'd take a day off, go to EKCH and watch the silence grow.
