Last SQ B777ER To ORD

Sat Jan 05, 2002 8:36 am

ORD spotters,

Just to let you know the last SQ B777-212ER flight (SQ36/35) will be arriving into ORD. I am not too sure about the date difference, but the flight will leave Amsterdam on 4th Jan 8.10am, aircraft 9V-SVE. I think SQ is suspending this flight for the time to come. If you are interested, go get a few shots!

For AMS, the B772ERs will still be visiting AMS on alternate days as SQ 324 but will not carry on to ORD.

It is not the last flight. It is the last flight until 7 April.

Interesting. I assume this is the same case as all the other flights that have been cut around the world. Now there will be too many people and no aircraft !!

Will they start a 747-400 service at the end of April?

In the schedules last time I looked it will still be a 777-212ER! I'll check again though.  Smile

It is very sad that due to the economic conditions, Singapore Airlines limited has decided to suspend the route. However, the relaunch will be on May 1 I think where once again...

SIA is reviewing operational cuts, unfortunately it seems too late for the Jubilee on this route.

Oh well, let's hope SIA comes back to ORD sooner than we expect.

I think UAL and KLM both fly daily ORD-AMS from their hubs.
